INTERACTION OF BIOMATERIALS WITH ADULT STEM CELLS

We make use of granulated biomaterials of natural or commercial origin as a regenerative model in tissue engineering, and we study their effect on adult stem cells in in vitro models, for cellular parameters such as adhesion, proliferation, differentiation and formation of cellular macrostructures, using techniques of confocal and scanning microscopy (SEM). We also analyze the physical and microstructural properties of biomaterials, such as microporosity cluster analysis in biphasic bioceramics. In this line we collaborate with distributors and researchers in Chile and abroad.
