DR. JUAN F. VIVANCO

Associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of the Adolfo Ibáñez University, Viña del Mar Campus.
BSc and Professional degree in Civil Engineering (UTFSM, Chile); MS in Materials Science, MS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Civil Engineering, and PhD in Biomaterials and Biomechanics, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States.
He has oriented his work to the formulation and execution of technological innovation projects in multidisciplinary areas of bioengineering with applications in medicine and health systems. He has scientific publications on experimentation and analysis of porous structures used in bone regeneration, biomechanics of orthopedic implants, and multi-scale experimentation of biomaterials. He was nominated by The American Ceramic Society, USA, as a future leader in the development of bioceramic materials.
